It is still possible to update with the following alternatives: Make sure the currently installed version has the latest patches installed.
Run an Online Update prior to the Online Migration.
This service pack contains all the Cumulative Updates and Public Updates for Office 2007 that have shipped since SP2 for both the Office client suites and applications, and the Share Point server applications. This allows Microsoft to download an Active X control that gathers assorted debugging information and sends it back to them.In my case, this debugging information proved critical. Also please note cross-architecture upgrades (32-bit to 64-bit and 64-bit to 32-bit) are not supported.See the Open Enterprise Server 11 SP2 documentation for details on how to upgrade.
